SKYCATCHFIRE

SKYCATCHFIRE is a software development firm that had built a strong reputation delivering websites and custom software for a range of clients. Over time, they began taking on larger, more complex projects, including internal software platforms for enterprise organizations. As their capabilities evolved, so did their ambition. They wanted to shift away from smaller web projects and reposition themselves as a partner for high-impact, enterprise-level software development.

At the same time, the company was transitioning to a fully remote team and competing for larger, more sophisticated opportunities beyond their Midwest roots.

The Problem

Their brand and website did not reflect where the business was headed. Like many development firms, their own presence had fallen behind the quality of the work they were delivering. The visual identity felt dated, and the website positioned them as a generalist shop rather than a focused, high-end development partner.

This created a disconnect. They were capable of landing and executing large-scale engagements, but their brand made them look like a smaller, regional studio. That gap made it harder to compete for the kinds of enterprise projects they wanted to pursue.

The Solution

We rebuilt the SKYCATCHFIRE brand from the ground up to support their shift in positioning. The goal was to move away from a generalist feel and toward something more focused, modern, and technically confident.

The new identity centered around a refined, pixel-inspired flame mark. It kept the spirit of the original name while introducing a more structured and digital aesthetic, better aligned with the type of systems they build. The broader visual language leaned into clarity, contrast, and restraint to reflect a more mature and enterprise-ready presence.

We also designed a new website that positioned SKYCATCHFIRE around their strengths in custom development. Rather than presenting a wide mix of services equally, the site emphasized their ability to build complex websites & tools for large organizations. The structure, messaging, and case study approach were all designed to build credibility with enterprise clients.

Their internal team handled development, allowing the final product to fully reflect both the design intent and their technical capabilities.

The Impact

Following the rebrand and website launch, SKYCATCHFIRE successfully shifted the focus of their business. They now work almost exclusively on enterprise-level projects, aligning directly with the direction they set out to pursue.

The new brand gave them the confidence and credibility to compete in larger arenas, helping close the gap between how they operated and how they were perceived. What had previously felt like a smaller, regional studio is now positioned as a focused, high-end software partner capable of delivering meaningful impact at scale.
